Croagh Patrick
Croagh Patrick is a mountain located approximately 5 miles from the picturesque village of Westport which is 15 minutes from Castlebar in County Mayo.
Considered the holiest mountain in Ireland, this majestic peak, also known locally as the 'Reek' stands 750 metres or 2,500 feet tall and dominates the Mayo landscape.

National Museum of Country Life
The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life is located 8 kilometres east of Castlebar and 10 minutes drive form The TF Royal Hotel & Theatre and is home to a collection of objects and artefacts representing the traditional way of life in Ireland since 1850.

Downpatrick Head & Ceide Fields
Just a few miles north of Ballycastle village outside Ballina County Mayo, is the the windswept outcrop of Downpatrick Head. This is the perfect place to park up and stretch your legs with an invigorating coastal walk or visit The Céide Fields which are the oldest known field systems in the world, over five and a half millennia old. It is a unique Neolithic landscape of world importance, which has changed our perception of our Stone Age ancestors.

Carrowholly Stables & Trekking Centre
Carrowholly Stables is owned and managed by the Kelly family, nearby at Carrowholly. The centre caters for individuals, families and groups. Basic training and tuition are provided for beginners. Enjoyment and safety are the two priorities at Carrowholly Stables when dealing with customers, be it first time rider or the more experienced horse enthusiast.

The Moy
The Moy as it is known, is one of the best salmon rivers in Europe with an astounding rod catch estimated at 8 to 12 thousand salmon every year. Just a short drive from The TF Royal Hotel & Theatre.
Anglers come from all over the world to fish on the Moy and fishing is readily available at modest prices.

Knock Shrine
Knock Shrine, located in co. Mayo is Ireland's National Marian Shrine where over 1.5 million pilgrims visit each year. The Pilgrimage Season at Knock runs from April -October each year with daily Masses and Confessions, Anointing of the Sick and Stations of the Cross. Groups are always welcome and can avail of guided tours, private Mass and a visit to the award-winning Knock Museum.

Great Western Greenway
Escape the bustle of urban life on the 42km Great Western Greenway, the longest off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland. The World Class Great Western Greenway is a traffic free cycling and walking trail which follows the route of the renowned Westport to Achill railway which closed in 1937.

Ceathru Thaidhg
Ceathrú Thaidhg is a village and town land on the Dún Chaocháin peninsula in north western County Mayo. There are several looped cliffwalks which start and end at Carrowteige village. The walks are of various lengths and suitable for individuals and groups.

Ballycroy National Park
Ballycroy National Park is Ireland’s sixth National Park and located on the Western seaboard in northwest Mayo. It comprises of 11,000 hectares of Atlantic blanket bog and mountainous terrain, covering a vast uninhabited and unspoilt wilderness dominated by the Nephin Beg mountain range.
